Westbrook makes history, Thunder defeat Lakers 119-103

Oklahoma City Thunder's superstar point guard Russell Westbrook made history on Tuesday evening in a match against Los Angeles Lakers as he joined Wilt Chamberlain to record NBA's second 20 points - 20 assists - 20 rebounds triple double ever. 

Westbrook, who pulled his 20th rebound in the final minutes of the game, was celebrated by his home crowd with a large standing ovation. He finished with 20 points, 20 rebounds and 21 assists.

The first 20-20-20 triple-double was made by Wilt Chamberlain in 1968.

The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Lakers 119-103 and grabbed their 45th win of the season. In the win, Westbrook made his 31st triple-double of the season.

Thunder are currently at the 8th spot in the Western Conference, tied with San Antonio Spurs (45-33) who are in the 7th spot.

The playoffs will start on April 13.
